Summary: Best TV I've ever had!!
Comment: This TV is awesome! Samsung has without a doubt the best 120hz tv's period! Yes that even includes Sony. Auto motion plus rocks and it really shows when you play videogames. Flat out everything looks better imo with auto motion plus on. Look if you don't get this tv you will regret it. Sony has tried to emulate Samsung but their 120hz tv's are not as good. Don't believe me, do your own research. Anyway I also have the tv on my network so I can stream my photos, video, and music from my computer flawlessly. Also auto motion plus gives a bump in quality to your video streams. Freakin sweet!!!!!!

Summary: Love, Love, Love this Samsung!!!
Comment: This is a high-ticket item and so like most of you I spent a lot of time researching reviews before deciding... I ultimately chose this model.

I can tell you that not one feature of this set has let me down or made me regret my purchase. I simply love this t.v.!! At this price point, there is simply no other set that comes close in performance and features, period. And trust me, I reviewed many, many sites and brands.

Also noteworthy, maybe the halo effect that others wrote about was a problem for them, but I do not have it and so either the manufacturer fixed the problem or it's an anomaly.

The picture clarity, ease of hookup and use, multitude of connection options, leading edge multi-media functions (like watching movies or looking at pictures from a flash thumb drive), wireless connectivity via the relatively cheap usb adapter bought separately, 120Hz processor, 4 ms response time for gaming consoles, etc...

Samsung knows LCD... this is the one. The only other sets I would buy over this one is the newer 8 or 9 series Samsung LCDs. The 9 series has a ridiculously high contrast ratio.

Summary: After MUCH research, this TV is fantastic!
Comment: I did a bunch of research on all of the different types of TVs. The LCDs are finally at a price point and quality that they are the good buy under 50". I headached a plasma, but the black levels on these LCDs are darn near as good.

Specifically, this Samsung 46A750 is a fantastic TV. I was going back and forth between this model, the 46A650 and the Sony 46Z4100. I think the Samsung looked better in the stores. I was really worried abut the glossy screen, but after looking at both the Sony and the Samsung in the store I did not think it would be a problem. Essentially both the Sony and the Samsung reflect light, the Sony just makes them look more fuzzy. In my house I have 4 windows across from my TV kind of diagonally and it has not been a problem. If anything the frame is more reflective than the screen.

I picked the 750 over the 650 mainly for the DLNA function and the subwoofer. I have not used the DLNA functions because I ended up getting a PS3 which is better for that. I have used the USB input to play MP3s and show pictures which has worked very well. I wanted the subwoofer because I just don't have room for the TV and speakers on the stand I have. In my opinion the sound with the TV is very good. The Sony may be better but this is more than adequate.

The picture is wonderful! I have it hooked to Dish HD, a WII, and the PS3. All look exceptional on this LCD! I have yet to find anything wrong with this TV, oh the remote is a little annoying but usable. The 120 HZ and automotion is very smooth. I have not had this before so yet to see how well I like it. The TOC red is not obnoxious at all. I think it is very pleasing and does not distract. The picture also looks good from most angles. It is one of the best for off-angle viewing.

I was close to buying the Sony because of the free blu-ray player but waited. When Amazon had the free Samsung BD-P1500 blu-ray with purchase I went for it! The shipping was fast and CEVA was very good.

I am very glad I got the Samsung. My TVs have always been Sony, so this is a new thing for me. You will not be sorry if you get this LCD, it is fantastic.

Summary: A great TV, I'm happy I bought it.
Comment: I've owned the Samsung LN46A750 for over a month now, and I'm very pleased with the purchase. Like many others, I read lots of reviews and went to several stores to look at the TV sets. Since the beginning I wanted an LCD, not a plasma, because I had read that LCDs consume less electricity and are less heavy. My first choice was a Sony, but after reading several reviews in the Amazon site and on Consumer Reports, and having compared the TVs at the local Best Buy store, I decided to buy the Samsung. This has been by far the largest purchase that I've ever made on line, so I was quite hesitant and anxious about it. Everything turned out great, though. The price at Amazon was excellent (quite a deal, in fact), and the delivery service was fine. The set arrived a couple of days before the promised date, the company called to set up a time, and two people brought the set into my house, unpacked it and set it on the cabinet. They also made sure that the TV worked by turning it on. I have no complains at all, they were courteous and I got what I expected. I connected all the different cables and devices myself, it was easy and straightforward. I have HDTV service from Dish, and it's wonderful. The picture quality is excellent and the controls are easy to maneuver. I've been fiddling with color, contrast, brightness, etc. to get the picture that I like, and it hasn't been difficult. The sound quality is fine by me. There are several preset choices that would satisfy most people. The red edge around the screen doesn't bother me at all; on the contrary, I think it gives the TV a high-end finish and the result is quite beautiful. I recommend this TV without any qualms.

HDTV resolutions
Resolution, or picture detail, is the main reason why HDTV programs look so good. The standard-definition programming most of us watch today has at most 480 visible lines of detail, whereas HDTV has as many as 1,080. HDTV looks sharper and clearer than regular TV by a wide margin, especially on big-screen televisions. It actually comes in two different resolutions, called 1080i and 720p. One is not necessarily better than the other; 1080i has more lines and pixels, but 720p is a progressive-scan format that should deliver a smoother image that stays sharper during motion
